📖 Scripture

“Then the Lord answered me and said:

‘Write the vision

And make it plain on tablets,

That he may run who reads it.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time;

But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.

Though it tarries, wait for it;

Because it will surely come,

It will not tarry.’”

— Habakkuk 2:2–3 (NKJV)

✨ Reflection

God spoke these words to the prophet Habakkuk during a time of waiting and confusion. He teaches us three important truths:

💕Write the vision — When God impresses something on your heart, don’t let it slip away. Write it down in a journal, a notebook, or even on a simple card. This act of writing anchors the promise in your heart.

💕Make it plain — God doesn’t require complicated explanations. Write His promises clearly and simply so that when you return to them, you can easily understand and remember what He said.

💕Wait for the appointed time — God’s promises may not happen instantly. There will be times of waiting, but His Word assures us that what He has spoken will surely come. His timing is perfect, even when it feels delayed.

This passage reminds you that your faith is not wasted in waiting. Every prayer, every promise, and every longing God has placed in your heart has a set time.

🙏 Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for speaking promises over my life. Help me to write them down and keep them before my eyes. Teach me to wait patiently for the appointed time, trusting that You never lie and that what You have spoken will surely come to pass. Strengthen me in moments of delay, and let my heart rest in Your perfect timing. In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

Journal Prompts:

  • What vision, prayer, or promise has God placed on my heart that I need to write down today?

  • Where in my life do I feel I am “waiting” right now?

  • How can I remind myself daily that God’s timing is perfect and His Word never fails?

I love you and I’m believing with you that the Lord will fulfill all his promises to you all for the mighty glory of God.
